Administration
Stephen Larson is the Administrator of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. He was appointed by Governor Chet Culver and confirmed by the Iowa Senate to a 4-year term beginning May 1, 2010.
Mr. Larson has over 25 years of state government experience. Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Treasurer for State Treasurer Michael L. Fitzgerald. During his time with the Treasury Department, Mr. Larson developed and managed the Iowa Unclaimed Property Compliance Program and sat on a number of boards and commissions including Vision Iowa, I-Jobs and the Iowa Accountability and Transparency Board. Additionally, Mr. Larson served two terms as President of the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators.
Mr. Larson graduated with honors from William Penn University in Oskaloosa, Iowa, with a B.A. in Business Administration. He is also the recipient of state and national awards including the Presidential Distinguished Services Award for Outstanding Service and the Golden Dome Award for Leader of the Year in 2003. Nicole Hartman is the Administrative Secretary to the Administrator and management team of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. Nicole is responsible for maintaining the Administrator’s schedule, making travel arrangements, ordering supplies, updating time sensitive materials, special projects and other various tasks.

Rick Swizdor serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. Prior to joining the Division on August 24, 2007, Rick was a Budget Analyst for the Iowa Department of Human Services where he developed several medical assistance related budgets.

Public Relations
Tonya Dusold is the Division's Communications Director. She works with the local and state media to relay information regarding Division operations to the public. Tonya also writes and designs most Iowa ABD publications and maintains the Division's Web site and social media presence.

Shannon Hagge is the Education Outreach Coordinator. Shannon works with partners in providing valuable education on the dangers of over-consumption, driving under the influence, underage drinking and other societal issues regarding alcohol. She also is in charge of event planning, including coordinating speakers for public and private educational events. Shannon provides outreach to licensees and stakeholders to help them follow the law while running a successful operation on a level playing field.
Shannon is in her third year with the Division. Previously she worked as an Administrative Assistant at John Deere Credit for eight years. Shannon received her B.A. in Graphic Design/Photography from Grand View College & American Intercontinental University-London in 2003. Recently she has obtained a certification from Des Moines Area Community College in Creating Web Pages & HTML coding. Human Resources
Dee Nelsen is an Accounting Technician for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division and has worked in this capacity since July 2002. Dee’s duties include processing of liquor sales, inventory balancing, and deposits. She also works with personnel regarding payroll, insurance, orientations and changes of employee information.

Product Control
Jodi Christensen is Products Manager for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. Jodi works with the Division’s Operations Supervisor, in addition to licensed liquor brokers and suppliers, to ensure that an adequate and diverse selection and inventory of products is made available to Iowa consumers. Jodi provides administrative support and oversight to a system that lists in excess of twelve hundred items held for distribution to Iowa liquor licensees.

Financial Management
Accounting
Jolene Eriksen is an Accountant II with the Accounting section of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. She has worked with the Division for the last seven years. Jolene produces financial statements, approves payments to liquor vendors, balances accounts and monitors the Division's budget.
Prior to joining the Division, Jolene was an accountant II at the Iowa Department of Education, where she worked with community college finances. Fabio Rivas is an Accounting Technician in his first year with the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. His responsibilities include processing liquor sales, balancing inventory, processing payments to liquor vendors and completing daily deposits.
Prior to joining the division, Fabio was in the banking industry for 7 years, specifically in Residential Mortgage Financing. Order Entry
Linda Hartney is a Public Service Assistant in the Products Section of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division and has been with the Division for over 29 years. Linda focuses on customer service by providing information to Class E Licensees on placing orders, taking orders, answering inquiries on products and procedures and participating in most aspects of the Products Dept. Additionally, Linda assists on special orders, orders supplies and provides support in various areas of operation.

Monica Lundstrom is a Purchasing Assistant in Order Entry for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverage Division. Monica started as a temporary picker in the warehouse in May of 2006. She was hired on full time in March of 2007. Monica spends most of her time doing order entry and taking customer orders, but she also assists with the monthly mailings of the pricebook, newsletter, TPR and fliers.

Tammy Essink is the receptionist for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverage Division. Tammy started as a temp in July of 2007. She was hired on full time in January of 2008. Tammy spends most of her time doing order entry, but she also answers the phones and does the mailings. She is in charge of the e-news and updates tobacco permits as well as sending out education materials.

Micky Truman works in order entry. She provides customer service by providing information to Class E Licensees on placing orders, taking orders, answering inquiries on products and procedures. Micky was re-hired by the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division as the Warehouse Manager in June 2004 after the state resumed control of the warehouse and distribution operations. Micky is responsible for making sure orders are picked and loaded correctly, helping set up the delivery schedules and receiving liquor deliveries into the warehouse.
Prior to resuming her work for the Division, Micky served as the Warehouse Manager for J.A. Jones Global Services, the company that previously handled the warehouse and distribution operations. Bob "Scoop" Anderson is in charge of buildings & grounds maintenance. He started with the Division as a temp in 2006 and was hired on full-time in 2007.

Information Technology
Bruce Ireland is an Information Technology Specialist V with the Information Technology section of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. Bruce develops and maintains software, and assists with network administration for the Division. Additionally, Bruce provides network hardware and software support for the Division’s various operating systems.
Bruce received his Associates Degree in computer programming from Des Moines Area Community College. Prior to working for the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division, Bruce worked for in the State Payroll Data processing Section. Mike England is an Information Technology Specialist IV with the Information Technology section of the Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division. Mike works with software development and maintenance, network administration, PC/network hardware and software support and is also the Division help desk trouble shooter. Mike is the lead support for the Division’s products program used to record and process all Class E liquor and will call orders. He also researches and recommends new hardware and software purchases for the Division.
Mike began work in Information Technology within the State of Iowa in 1985, shortly after earning an A.A.S Degree in computer programming from the Des Moines Area Community College. Prior to joining the Division he was with Comptrollers Data Processing as a Computer Operator and Programmer Analyst and with Administrative Services Division as a Systems Analyst.
